2026 Expansion - Western & Eastern Championship

The Notah Begay III Canadian Junior Golf National Championship is pleased to announce the expansion of two (2) Championships in the country of Canada.

Since the Notah Begay Series first expanded into Canada back in 2023, we started with only five local qualifiers (British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia) and one Canadian Championship at Kanawaki Golf Club in Montreal, QC that was streamed on TSN+. Fast forward to 2025, where we had ten local qualifiers and teed off 195 players at the Canadian Championship. In addition to the TSN+ stream, Quebec local TV sports station RDS (Reseau des sport) joined the show to deliver a TV component to our Championship.

Now in 2026, NB3 Canada will have two (2) Championships, the Western and Eastern Championship. The Eastern Championship will stay at Kanawaki Golf Club in Quebec and the Western Championship will be heading to the First Nations property Dakota Dunes Golf Links in Saskatchewan on the land of Whitecap Dakota First Nation. Notah being from the Navajo Nation and San Felipe/ Isleta Pueblo, it is important to him to have another Championship on a First Nations Reservation. "I can't thank Chief Bear and the rest of the community for allowing us to come to their property to host another Championship. Not only will it give the juniors out in Western Canada an opportunity to qualify but it will also strengthen our relationship with the people of Whitecap Dakota First Nation" said Notah.

Both the Eastern and Western Championship will be officiated by their respective Golf association and it will qualify players to the National Championship in Kinder, Louisiana on the Golf Channel. See below for dates:

Eastern Championship - August 3-4, 2026 at Kanawaki Golf Club in Montreal, QC - Officiated by Golf Quebec.

Western Championship - August 18-19, 2026 at Dakota Dunes Golf Links in Saskatoon, SK - Officiated by Golf Saskatchewan.

How to Qualify:

Stage 1: Play in a local 2-day tournament in your province closest to you

Stage 2: Compete in the Western and/or Eastern Championship

Stage 3: Play against the top juniors from across North America at the National Championship in Kinder, Louisiana

About us:

The NB3 Canada Series is heading into it's 4th year in Canada and 7th year in the United States. What makes us unique is we are the only qualifying series in Canada and we broadcast our juniors on TSN+, RDS TV and the Golf Channel. We are a three (3) stage qualifying series with local tournaments that go on to regionals and finally the National Championship. The series is open to all, boys and girls, from ages 10-18 and the players compete in their designated age division 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18. There is NO required membership to play in our series, all you have to do is create a free account and sign up for a qualifier near you!
